Bring what makes them who they are

The best senior portraits include the things your senior actually loves: the uniform, the instrument, the jersey number, the dog. Jacob brought a suit, a volleyball and a fishing pole to his session, and his portraits show all three.

What senior portraits cost in Carmel

Senior sessions are $890 and include a $500 credit toward your portraits, so more than half of the fee comes back to you as artwork. Collections run from $300 for a single portrait to $4,690, every portrait includes its high-resolution file and a matted 8×10, and additional outfits and locations are never charged. If you don’t love your portraits at your reveal, your session fee is refunded in full, that day.

I take forty commissions a year, so fall evenings fill first. I also photograph seniors in Westfield and Zionsville.

When should Carmel seniors book their senior portraits?

Three to four months before the season you want. Spring sessions book in winter, and fall evenings book by midsummer. The summer before senior year is often the easiest time, with long evenings and nothing yet competing for the calendar.

Where in Carmel do senior sessions take place?

Wherever suits your senior: Main Street and the Arts and Design District, Midtown and the Monon, the Palladium, Coxhall Gardens, Central Park, your home or your barn, or the studio. We choose together at the consultation, and additional locations are never charged.

Are these the same as my senior’s yearbook photo?

No. Yearbook portraits are arranged through your senior’s school, so check the school’s senior information for that appointment. Your session with me is for the portraits on your wall, planned on your own timeline.

Can my senior be photographed with their horse?

Yes. I photograph riders and their horses at their own barns across central Indiana. We meet the horse first and plan around the barn’s schedule, and it’s the same senior session and pricing.

What should my senior wear?

Every session starts with a styling consultation, so you won’t be guessing. We plan outfits, colors and textures together, and your senior can bring as many changes as they like at no extra charge.

What if my senior feels awkward in front of the camera?

That’s normal, and it’s my job. I direct every pose and expression, so there’s nothing to figure out, and most seniors tell me afterward that it was easier than they expected.

How long does a senior session take?

Most sessions run sixty to ninety minutes, depending on locations and outfit changes. We don’t rush.

What happens after the session?

Within five business days we meet in person for your reveal. You see the portraits for the first time, choose your favorites, and we design the finished pieces for your home, which I deliver and install.

Do you photograph seniors outside Carmel?

Yes. I photograph seniors from Carmel High School and University High School, and from schools across Westfield, Zionsville, Fishers, Noblesville and north Indianapolis, including Brebeuf Jesuit, Park Tudor, Cathedral and Bishop Chatard.
