Senior Photos in Zionsville, Indiana
Zionsville seniors grow up somewhere rare: brick streets, a village green, creek trails and a main street that looks built for portraits. I photograph Zionsville seniors in the village, on the trails, at home and in the studio, and I finish the work as portraits for your walls, designed for your rooms and placed there myself. Class of 2027 dates are open now.
Consultations are complimentary and pressure-free.
Where we photograph Zionsville seniors
Most Zionsville sessions use two places: somewhere in the village for character, and somewhere green for softness. These are the ones I come back to.
- Main Street’s brick village: the brick street, storefronts and lamp posts that make Zionsville recognizable anywhere. The light down Main Street in the last hour before sunset is warm and even, and a weeknight is far quieter than a Saturday.
- Lincoln Park: half an acre in the middle of the village with a gazebo and a fountain, and a small place in history, since Abraham Lincoln stopped here in 1861 on his way to Washington. Ideal for a quiet, classic frame.
- The Big-4 Rail Trail: the paved, tree-lined spine of Zionsville’s trail system. Soft shade, long straight lines and easy walking in any shoes.
- Starkey Nature Park: wooded bottomland along Eagle Creek, for seniors who want the outdoors to feel wild rather than groomed. The trails can be muddy after rain, so we plan footwear at the consultation.
- Your home or property: the backyard they grew up in, the barn, the field behind the house. For a senior, the place they’re about to leave can be the most meaningful backdrop of all. We decide together at the consultation, with no extra fee.
- The studio: about fifteen minutes from the village, for a polished, magazine-style portrait to set beside the outdoor work. There is no charge for additional locations.
How a senior commission works
- A consultation in your home. We go through the closet together and settle outfits, choose the locations, and look at the walls where the finished portraits will live. I photograph those walls so your designs can be shown on them later.
- The session. I direct everything: where to stand, how to hold their shoulders, where to look. Seniors who dread the camera are often the ones who enjoy it most, because there’s nothing for them to figure out.
- The reveal, within five business days. You see the finished portraits in person, then your designs to scale on your own walls, and choose what comes home.
- Placed on your wall. I deliver and install every piece, guaranteed for life.
Bring your mother
Or your father, or both. She drove you to every practice for four years, and the portrait of the two of you will outlast every other one we make. There is no charge for adding anyone to the session.
Your yearbook photo is separate
Zionsville Community High School seniors book a yearbook-only appointment with the school’s contracted studio to appear in the yearbook. That photo is for the book. Your senior session with me is something different: the portrait that goes on your wall, made in the places and the season you choose.
So the yearbook deadline isn’t a reason to rush. Book the school’s appointment when it opens, and plan your senior portraits around the light you want. The when-to-book guide has the timing by season.
What a senior session costs
Senior sessions are $890 and include a $500 credit toward your portraits. Collections run from $300 for a single portrait to $4,690 for the Bespoke Album with twenty-five, digital files are included with every portrait, and additional outfits and locations are never charged. The full breakdown is in the senior photo pricing guide.
If you don’t love your portraits at your reveal, your session fee is refunded in full, that day.
I take forty commissions a year, so the best fall evenings go first. Three to four months ahead is comfortable, and the summer before senior year is the best-kept secret: Jacob’s July session is a good example. I also photograph seniors in Carmel and Westfield.
Senior photos in Zionsville: questions
When should Zionsville seniors book their session?
Three to four months before the season you want. Summer sessions book in spring, fall sessions by midsummer, and the summer before senior year is often the easiest time of all.
Can we photograph on Main Street’s brick streets?
Yes. The village is one of my favorite places to photograph seniors. We time the session for the last hour of light and a quieter weeknight.
Can my senior portraits be used for the ZCHS yearbook?
No. Zionsville Community High School seniors book a yearbook-only appointment with the school’s contracted studio to appear in the yearbook. Your senior session with me is for the portraits on your wall.
Can we use our home or property?
Yes. The backyard they grew up in or the family land is often the most meaningful backdrop for a senior. We decide together at the consultation, and there is no extra fee.
Do we have to come to Carmel?
Only for studio portraits. The studio is about fifteen minutes from the village, and most families pair it with a Zionsville location.
How much do senior photos cost in Zionsville?
Senior sessions are $890 and include a $500 credit toward your portraits. Collections run from $300 to $4,690, and digital files are included with every portrait.

That’s common, and it’s my job. I direct every pose and expression, so there’s nothing for them to figure out, and camera-shy seniors are often the ones who enjoy it most.
